Flexis Mobility, a joint venture between the Renault Group, Volvo Group, and CMS GGM, is trying to revolutionize the urban logistics scene in Europe. The company aims to streamline and help grow the electric vehicle (EV) share in logistics. Presently, the EV shift in Europe’s automobile industry heavily focuses on private vehicles. Commercial adoption still lags behind due to many legitimate reasons such as infrastructure issues, maintenance concerns, and the obvious range problems—three crucial elements in logistics.

Flexis Mobility has decided to tackle these challenges, especially in the urban logistics department. They have introduced three models of urban logistics vehicles: the Step-In Van, the Cargo Van, and the Panel Van, all sharing the same platform.

These fully EV-native vehicles are designed specifically with logistics operations in mind to significantly improve efficiency. All vehicles feature a low floor height to ease the loading and unloading of parcels, the ability to fully customize the interior without the constraints of retrofitted hardware, the integration of high-capacity battery solutions allowing for fast charging (80% in less than 20 minutes), and the best range for urban operations (up to 450 km WLTP per charge).

Flexis has apparently already invested €350 Million in the development of the product range and has now entered the pre-production phase in 2025. Serial production will start mid-2026 at Renault Group’s Sandouville plant in France.
Philippe Divry, CEO of Flexis Mobility says –
‘Our mission at Flexis is to support and accelerate the electrification of the urban logistics industry, which is looking to operate more sustainably, improve profitability and improve the operations security and safety for drivers in a sector that continues to grow. Since the creation of Flexis, we have worked with customers and logistics players to co-create the services to meet operational needs and improve the B2B offer on the market with a solution that is 100% electric, 100% connected, 100% customizable and 100% designed for cities.’
The lineup consists of three models – the Step-In Van, the Cargo Van, and the Panel Van.
The Step-in Van

The Step-In Van’s got a unique look for a medium van with front sliding doors and a rear shutter door for easy loading—a first in European market. You can move easily between the cockpit and cargo areas, with a 1.90-meter height clearance so drivers can comfortably walk upright throughout the van.
The Cargo Van

The Cargo Van is perfect for urban last-mile deliveries and more. It’s got a super flexible box that can easily switch between different widths, heights, and beds. Plus, it’s got modular options like refrigerated boxes and other cool features.

The Panel Van

The Panel Van is an urban-ready, multi-purpose design tackles all the limitations of current market options. With its handling and an overall height of 1.9m, it can easily slip into underground city parking and garages.
Collaborations with Logistics Providers in Europe
According to sources, Flexis Mobility has already signed the first ten letters of intent (LOIs) with logistics providers across France, Germany, and the UK, including Colis Privé, HIVED, and DB Schenker. These LOIs represent a potential demand for 15,000 vehicles over the next three years and highlight the collaboration between Flexis and their clients to co-create solutions based on their needs
