Earlier this year, we learned about Ferrari’s upcoming electric vehicle (EV) in development. Ferrari is trying hard not to disappoint its customers and fans by ensuring its first fully electric car remains true to the brand’s roaring and loud identity. CEO Benedetto Vigna promised that the unique sound of Ferrari’s EVs would not be compromised and that they are working on making their EV ‘sound’ like a combustion engine.

A video surfaced on an Instagram account (Credits: Varryx_ on Instagram) showing a camouflaged Ferrari F244 test car out on the roads of . Interestingly, it sounds like an internal combustion engine (ICE) car, though not identical to the traditional Ferrari roar, it certainly sounds interesting. Here’s a listen:
You can see the upcoming Ferrari EV in action in this video. According to the information, the sound seems to be coming from the rear bumper region of the car. You can also see the oddly mounted fake exhausts at the back of the car, likely part of the camouflage. The look of the car has already sparked debates within car communities; however, it is too early to comment on this since the car has not been seen in its final form.

The test mule looks like a beefed-up Ford Focus RS. We hope that this is just a testing mule and that the final version will be different. According to Reuters, the Ferrari EV will cost upwards of $500,000! Reportedly, Ferrari has already started working on its second EV, although it is still in the very early stages of development.
