Unveiled first at the 2022 Paris Motor Show, NamX is an Afro-European automobile start-up founded by entrepreneur Faouzi Annajah and designer Thomas de Lussac. They are trying to make their way into a rather niche market in the automobile world – the hydrogen powertrain.

The SUV, or ‘HUV (Hydrogen Utility Vehicle)’ as NamX calls it, has been in development for a while now. The car packs some promising tech, and the maker is deeply invested in hydrogen powertrains.

The NamX Hydrogen concept SUV is developed in collaboration with the renowned Italian car designer Pininfarina. The main highlight is the innovative removable cylinder technology developed by NamX.

NamX has planned two variants for the SUV Coupe: the GT and the GTH. The GT version produces a claimed 300 hp, has a driving range of 800 km (~ 497 miles), and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. The GTH packs more punch with 500 hp, a similar driving range, and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds. The GT version is priced at €75,000, while the GTH costs €95,000. Both variants have been up for pre-order.
