
Mazda had a blast in 2024 with record-breaking sales of 424,382 vehicles, marking a YoY increase of 16.8 percent in the US market.

December 2024 saw the highest amount of sales ever for the automaker, with Mazda selling 40,201 vehicles in the month, an increase of 1.7% compared to sales in 2023.

Mazda CX5 Still Remains The Bestselling Model

With over 130,000 units sold in 2024, Mazda’s renowned compact SUV remains the brand’s best-selling model in the US. Introduced back in 2014, the Mazda competes with similar cars such as the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, VW Tiguan, and Subaru Forester. The company’s recent models, such as the CX-50 and CX-90, are also picking up pace.
Mazda was also awarded eight IIHS Top Safety Picks+ awards, which was more than any other brand in 2024.

Miata Celebrates Its 35th Anniversary Edition

Mazda also recently announced a special edition MX-5 Miata for the US market for the 2025 model year, celebrating its 35th anniversary. This edition is powered by the same 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. The car will feature a special shade of color and fancy interior accents.
